LOTTE HOTEL Terms of Use

  • 1. The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to prescribe the rights and obligations between HOTEL LOTTE Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “this Hotel”) and the Guest (meaning one who wishes to reserve accommodation at this Hotel and one who actually stays at this Hotel; hereinafter shall mean the same).
  • 2. Accommodation agreements and other related agreements concluded between this Hotel and the Guest shall be in accordance with the provisions set forth in these Terms and Conditions, and any matters not prescribed in these Terms and Conditions shall be in accordance with laws and regulations, trade practices, or customary practices.
  • 3. Regarding reservations made using credit cards, matters related to reservation procedures shall be in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, and other details related to the Guest's use of credit cards shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions between the credit card company and the merchant of this Hotel.
  • 4. This Hotel may conclude a separate special agreement with the Guest within a range that does not violate the intention of these Terms and Conditions, laws and regulations, or customary practices. In this case, said special agreement shall take precedence over these Terms and Conditions.
  • 1. A Guest who wishes to stay at this Hotel may apply to reserve accommodation with this Hotel, and at that time, this Hotel may request the following from the reserving Guest. If the Guest declines said request, he/she may face certain restrictions in reserving accommodation.
    • ① The Guest’s name, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, passport number, contact information, and credit card number to guarantee the reservation, etc.
    • ② Consent to the collection and use of personal information, and provision to third parties
    • ③ Other items this Hotel deems necessary
  • 2. The accommodation agreement shall be deemed to have been concluded when this Hotel approves the application for reservation of accommodation by the Guest.

This Hotel may decline a Guest’s application to reserve accommodation in the following cases.

  • 1. When the Guest requests accommodation that cannot be subjected to these Terms and Conditions
  • 2. When there are no vacancies
  • 3. When it is judged from an objective point of view that there is a risk of the Guest committing acts that violate laws and regulations, public order, or good morals and manners
  • 4. When a Guest is clearly judged to be infected with an infectious disease
  • 5. When the Guest commits acts that cause harm to other guests or the staff of this Hotel, or has a history of possessing prohibited items (animals, narcotics, guns, etc.)
  • 6. When the Guest is a minor under civil law and has not reached his/her 19th birthday
  • 7. When this Hotel assumes a burden to a greater degree than expected under conventional transactions in order to carry out the accommodation agreement
  • 8. When it is judged that the Guest may not stay according to the laws, etc. of the Republic of Korea
  • 9. When there are other justifiable reasons
  • 1. This Hotel may request the payment of a deposit upon reservation for accommodation.
  • 2. The deposit described in the previous Paragraph shall be primarily applied to the cost of the stay when the Guest pays the cost of the stay. However, if it falls under the provisions of Articles 5 and 6, it shall be primarily applied to cover cancellation fees or compensation for damages that this Hotel charges the Guest, with any money remaining being refunded to the Guest.
  • 3. When the accommodation agreement has been concluded with a deposit paid via credit card instead of cash, this Hotel shall charge the credit card company any cancellation fees or compensation for damages set forth in Articles 5 and 6. In such cases, this Hotel will inform the Guest of the documentation number, date and time of documentation, and the details of the cancellation fee, if the Guest so requests.
  • 1. In the event the Guest cancels the accommodation agreement, in whole or in part, due to the Guest’s circumstances, this Hotel shall charge cancellation fees as follows. In such cases, the “planned dates of the stay” refers to each day of accommodation according to the accommodation agreement, and after the Guest registers for accommodation in accordance with Article 7 of these Terms and Conditions, refers to accommodation days that have not yet arrived
    • ① General Accommodation Guests
    • A. If rescinded or terminated before 6:00 PM (Hotel local time) one day before the planned dates of the stay: No cancellation fees will be charged
    • B. If rescinded or terminated between 6:00 PM and midnight (Hotel local time) one day before the planned dates of the stay: 100% of the agreed amount for the first day (this means the amount that was agreed upon when the accommodation agreement was concluded, including room charges and other costs of using the facilities and services; hereinafter shall mean the same)
    • C. Rescissions or terminations made on the planned dates of the stay, or in cases where the Guest has not shown up (“no-show”, where there is no registration for accommodation on the planned dates of the stay): 100% of the agreed amount for the first day
    • D. However, cancellation and penalty policies may vary by each chain hotel, so please check the cancellation policy for each chain hotel.
    • ② Group Accommodation Guests: As set forth in the separate group accommodation agreement
  • 2. The cancellation fee in Paragraph 1 shall apply only to direct reservations for accommodation made through the Hotel website or the Reservations Department. Other reservations made through local or online travel agencies shall be subject to separate cancellation fee terms and conditions or other agreements made with said travel agencies. Additionally, penalties for the hotel indicated separately in the reservation menu on the website, or notified by the reservation department, will take precedence.
  • 3. The cancellation fee in Paragraph 1 shall not be more than the sum of the agreed-upon amount for the entirety of the the planned dates of the stay, and the fees charged shall be different for peak and off-peak seasons.
  • 4. The timing of charging cancellation fees may be subject to change depending on the circumstances of the Hotel. The Guest may ask the Hotel to check the related amount ahead of time, in order to prevent in advance any confusion regarding the payment of cancellation fees.
  • 5. In the case of the above Paragraph, when it is due to non-arrival or delay of public transportation such as trains or planes, or otherwise recognized from an objective point of view as not being due to any fault of the individual Guest, no cancellation fees shall be charged.
  • 1. This Hotel may rescind or terminate the accommodation agreement even after it has been concluded in the following cases.
    • ① Before the Guest registers for accommodation in accordance with Article 7
    • A. When the information provided pursuant to Article 2, Paragraph 1 is false
    • B. When Paragraph 1, 3, or 8 of Article 3 apply
    • C. When there is a failure to comply with the request for payment of the deposit as prescribed in Article 4
    • ② After the Guest has registered for accommodation in accordance with Article 7
    • A. When Paragraph 3 or 8 of Article 3 apply
    • B. When there has been noncompliance with the rules for use that this Hotel has set forth
    • C. When a long-term Guest has not complied with requests for payment of charges for use in accordance with Article 8, Paragraph 2
    • D. In other cases, such as when the Guest has violated the laws of the Republic of Korea, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, or the provisions set forth in a separate special agreement with the Hotel, and has refused requests for correction from the Hotel, obstructing the normal operation of the Hotel
  • 2. When this Hotel rescinds or terminates the accommodation agreement in accordance with this Article, this Hotel may claim compensation for damages suffered by this Hotel from the Guest.
  • 1. Registration for accommodation is possible from 3:00 PM on the date of the stay, but may be subject to change depending on on-site circumstances, in which event information will be separately provided.
  • 2. Guests must register the following at the front desk as soon as they arrive at this Hotel.
    • A. Items in Article 2, Paragraph 1
    • B. Valid credit card information for payment of the deposit (this is equivalent to 10% of the total room costs for the entirety of the planned dates of the stay, but it may vary depending on your hotel policy. If charges arising from the use of the Hotel apart from the room costs go unpaid upon check-out from the Hotel, this shall be applied to cover those charges)
  • 3. This Hotel will check the validity of the credit card in Subparagraph 2, charge the deposit, and cancel the transaction upon check-out.
  • 4. When the Guest completes the registration for accommodation in accordance with this Article, the registration for accommodation for the entire period of the stay according to the accommodation agreement shall be complete.
  • 1. The Guest shall pay the charges for use (meaning the actual amount the Guest must pay, including room costs and charges for using the facilities and services, among others; hereinafter shall mean the same) upon check-out.
  • 2. This Hotel may, even before check-out, request payment of charges for use to long-term Guests, in accordance with conditions set forth in separate special agreements or when reasonably necessary, and the Guest shall pay the charges for use at the request of this Hotel.
  • 3. Acceptable payment methods include cash, credit cards, LOTTE HOTELS gift certificates, LOTTE Department Store gift certificates, tourist vouchers, reward points, and/or other accommodation vouchers issued by LOTTE HOTELS. Personal checks shall not be accepted.
  • 4. Guests may check the calculated amount of charges for use one day before the planned date of check-out, in order to prevent in advance any confusion regarding the payment of charges for use.
  • 5. Guest must pay the charges for use after completing registration of accommodation in accordance with Article 7, even when the Guest has not stayed at the Hotel due to the Guest’s circumstances.
  • 1. Guests must collect their room keys at the front desk upon registration for accommodation, and return them to the front desk upon check-out, along with payment of charges for use.
  • 2. In the event a Guest loses a room key during his/her stay, he/she must report it to the front desk immediately, and pay the costs for having a replacement made
  • 1. This Hotel’s responsibility for the stay begins from the moment the registration for accommodation is completed at the front desk, and ends when the Guest pays the charges for use and returns the room key at the front desk in order to check out.
  • 2. This Hotel shall not be liable for any accidents due to the Guest’s failure to comply with the rules for use set forth by this Hotel and these Terms and Conditions, or any other accidents caused by reasons attributable to the Guest.

The Guest is asked to comply with the rules for use set forth by this Hotel.

  • 1. The business hours of this Hotel’s facilities are posted separately, and are subject to change depending on on-site circumstances.
  • 2. Guests who have difficulty in using the facilities of this Hotel normally because of problems due to health or other reasons, or who hinder other guests’ use of them, may be subject to restrictions in their use of the facilities in whole or in part, and this Hotel shall not be liable for any accidents that occur from the violation of such restrictions.
  • 1. The check-out time of this Hotel is, in principle, noon (12:00 PM), but may be subject to change due to on-site circumstances.
  • 2. If the check-out time is exceeded, additional charges may be imposed as follows:
    • ① Until 3:00 PM: 30% of the daily room costs (meaning the actual price at which it is sold by this Hotel, and not the agreed daily amount; hereinafter shall mean the same)
    • ② Until 5:00 PM: 50% of the daily room costs
    • ③ After 5:00 PM: 100% of the daily room costs
  • 3. Check-out hours may be subject to change depending on the circumstances of this Hotel. The Guest may check with the Hotel the check-out times and the amount of related charges ahead of time, in order to prevent in advance any confusion regarding the payment of additional charges.
  • 1. The provisions of these Terms and Conditions may be amended at any time due to the needs of the Hotel. In addition, in the event any provisions in these Terms and Conditions conflict with the peremptory norms of the Republic of Korea, the peremptory norms shall prevail. However, even in such an event, the effectiveness of the remaining provisions of the Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
  • 2. The Guest shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of concluding the accommodation agreement, and amended Terms and Conditions shall not apply retroactively.

In the event a dispute arises in connection with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, it shall be resolved, in principle, by mutual agreement between the Guest and this Hotel. In the event that an agreement cannot be reached, the competent court of jurisdiction shall be designated according to the Civil Procedure Act.

Dates of enforcement : 29, January 2024.

The terms and conditions for use of the LOTTE HOTELS & RESORTS will apply from 29, January 2024.
