The Arbat

The Arbat is a pedestrian street in the historical centre of Moscow, as well as its true symbol. The Arbat has existed since at least the 15th century, thus one of the oldest surviving streets of Russia's capital. It is the heart of the Arbat District of Moscow.

The Bolshoi Theatre

The Bolshoi Theatre is a historic theatre in Moscow, designed by the architect Joseph Bové, which holds performances of ballet and opera. The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are amongst the oldest and greatest ballet and opera companies of the world. The Bolshoi Theatre is an everlasting symbol of Russia, an honour it has earned thanks to its major contributions to the history of Russian performing arts.

The Kremlin is Moscow`s most famous historical and political landmark and is a complex of cathedrals and palaces. Several buildings are open to the public, including the Armory, Patriarch`s Palace and the State Kremlin Palace. Since 1991 the Kremlin has been the official residence of the President of the Russian Federation. The ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
