The Taehwagang River is a 47.54 km long waterway with a basin area of 643.96 km², originating from the Baekunsan Mountain Tapgol Spring in Duseo-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, and flowing into the East Sea near Maeam-dong. Known as the lifeline of Ulsan, it has shared the region's history with its residents for generations. In addition to the famous Taehwagang Bamboo Forest, the river is home to over 700 native plants, as well as fish, birds, and animals, including salmon, sweetfish, egrets, swans, otters, and raccoons.

The Baekdudaegan mountain range stretches south along the East Sea. It rises impressively over Yeongnam and is home to ten prominent peaks. This area is also known as the ""Alps of Yeongnam."" The ""Alps of Yeongnam"" feature a unique topography where the entire range is covered with silver grass. Notable peaks in the region include Chwiseosan Mountain (1,092 m, also known as Yeongchwisan Mountain), Sinbulsan Mountain (1,209 m), Cheonhwangsan Mountain (1,189 m), Unmunsan Mountain (1,188 m), Goheonsan Mountain (1,033 m), Munboksan Mountain (1,013 m), and Gajisan Mountain. Among these, Gajisan Mountain stands as the highest peak.
