Reclining Buddha
The six-story statue of the Buddha is 16 meters high and 65 meters long. It is very reverent, with its pale face, red lips, and blue eyes, as well as its golden tomb and red nails. Its palm contains 108 red and gold symbols, depicting the Buddha’s “signs” or immortal images of the Buddha’s life.

The Shwedagon Pagoda, standing at a height of 326 feet and shining with its golden spire, is a sacred site with a history of over 2,500 years. It is said that if one has not visited the Shwedagon Pagoda, they have not truly experienced Myanmar. The pagoda was built to enshrine the relics of the Buddha, including his hair and other sacred items, which were brought to the site for veneration. Located on Singuttara Hill, covering an area of 114 acres to the west of Kandawgyi Lake, the Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the most revered Buddhist landmarks in Myanmar and an important symbol of devotion for the Burmese people.
