Infinity Net, which has been a constant creative motif in Kusama's vast body of work over the past 80 years, expresses a world of repetition to escape the pain of hallucinations. It is a work in which the endless multiplication of dots can be felt directly and sensually. The artist presents the experience of the infinite multiplication of dots, a symptom of her own hallucinations, in which not only herself and her surroundings, but the entire world is covered and expanded by infinite dots. The relationship between the net and the dots symbolizes Kusama's conception of the infinite universe and the place of humans within it.
