Modes of Transportation
It's easy and convenient to use public transportation to visit LOTTE ARAI RESORT for sightseeing or outdoor activities.
During the winter season, a shuttle bus is available between the resort and Joetsu-Myoko Station. So why not come visit and take in the scenery, history or gourmet restaurants on route via train transfers, taxis or buses.

Echigo Tokimeki Railway
By using the Myoko Haneuma Line (Myoko Kogen – Naoetsu) and the Nihonkai Hisui Line (Naoetsu – Ichiwa), you can easily access Myoko, Joetsu and Itoigawa city. The areas alongside these rail lines are full of great highlights.
You can enjoy a trip to each station on a quiet ordinary train, or enjoy the scenery and cuisine on the popular specialty train "Setsugetsuka".

Tourist taxi
A taxi is recommended for those without a car and who want to thoroughly enjoy the sights and gourmet cuisine around the local areas.
There are plenty of local taxis that work throughout day and night.
With easy-to-understand and reasonable prices, you can enjoy a short trip with peace of mind.

BUS (For winter season)
You trains at the Myoko-Kogen Bus Terminal, you can also reach the Jigokudani Yaen-Koen, Nozawa Onsen or Madarao-Kogen ski parks.
For those wanting to take a day off from skiing and snowboarding, we highly recommend taking the daily sightseeing bus that runs from Arai to Takada city center, Naoetsu-Joetsu shopping areas and the Naoetsu Aquarium Umigatari.
